How to quickly judge a Civil War Book

Simply apply the "Young Napoleon" test.  The more the author refers to McClellan as  "The Young Napoleon"  - the worse the book.

    What if they are simply quoting someone else? Does that count?

    Depends on how often they read a good blog like "Historians on the warpath"
